Tip 10: Phone apps help with translations
Mobile phone translation apps are super handy for decoding menus and having conversations with those who speak a different language. Google Translate is our favorite, but there are many others to check out.
Tip 8: Put laptop in middle of your items at security scan
Nearly every county requires you to take out your laptop and place it in a separate security container. We suggest sending it through the security check in the middle of your other items like a coat, shoes, purse, carry on so you are less likely to forget it.
Tip 2: Pay attention to rental car fuel type
When renting a car in an unfamiliar country, be aware of gas (Petro) vs diesel. It could be the pump handle is opposite color than you are used to. For example, Ireland is the opposite of the US. Trust us…this is an expensive lesson to learn the hard way.
