There are locations that are known for a daily shower or summer storms. Pack accordingly so that the rain does not ruin your trip and create unnecessary hubbub trying to figure out plan B everyday. Consider packing plastic ponchos (they take up virtually no space so pack a few of them), an umbrella, and lightweight rain jacket with a hood. They make rain shoes as well that feel like tennis or hiking shoes and are quite comfortable – I bought a pair when taking a vacation to Niagara Falls because you walk through quite a bit of water and it can easily rain. Consider packing a waterproof disposable camera too as you may get some good pictures, even in the rain.

Tip 88: Be ready for rain at Disney
Headed to Disney World during the summer? Be ready for the daily afternoon rain showers. It happens- almost every day. Don’t let it ruin your vacation! Consider packing rain ponchos and umbrellas. With proper shoes, you can continue the fun in the rain. Before the downpour, you’ll notice the rain clouds. Plan ahead for indoor activities such as catching a show in a theater or a mid-afternoon snack in a restaurant. Of course, it is also a good time to take the Monorail back to your Disney Resort hotel room for an afternoon nap! The sun will come out again.
Tip 80: Plan Ahead to Check Out Popular Tours
To avoid major disappointment, plan ahead to check out popular sites or tours at your travel destination. If you’re unsure of the top activities at your
planned destination, check out TripAdvisor in advance of your travels. If daily tickets are limited for the excursion of your choice, considering ordering them online before you leave. You can then build the rest of your schedule around your anticipated excursion. Trust me, you don’t want to miss Pearl Harbor, Alcatraz or La Sagrada Familia!
